Instructions and Help about Jsa format

Hi, my name is Tai Bass and I'm the safety specialist here at ASC. I spend a lot of time doing JSA audits for job safety analysis. I have found that it's a great tool for organizing your workday, identifying any hazards in your area, and communicating with your peers and the safety department about the tasks you'll be working on today. For today's safety discussion video, we're going to talk about JSA Music. Alrighty, so let's go over the JSA first. Where can you get a JSA? We have JSA's at the Forum Center, or you can come to the safety department and we'll gladly email you one in the field or print one here in the shop. So, let's go over the JSA here. The first thing you want to do is put the job number, then you want to put your name down or the employee name if you're the lead. The second step is to write down the tasks that you'll be doing today, the location, and then start identifying any hazards that may be in your work environment. For example, if you're doing standard welding, you'll need to identify hot work, loud noises, and flying debris if you're working with slack. The second section is hazard controls. It's important to communicate if you'll be welding on top of the vessel or underneath it. The fog controls allow you to evaluate the generation of debris in your area. If you'll be doing a welding task that generates a lot of slag or debris, indicate that you'll be cleaning up frequently. For completion day, this is the projected...
